RF engineers and telecommunications specialists were juggling 5-7 separate apps during field visits — switching between calculators, reference sheets, and reporting tools, often in locations with poor connectivity where those apps failed exactly when they were needed most.
ChromaWave built GoodPAW: a single, unified mobile platform combining essential network diagnostics, RF analysis tools, and reporting capabilities in one field-ready application. Today it is used by 100+ RF professionals in the field, cutting tool-switching time by 68% and making site assessments 42% faster.
The Challenge

Capability to import floor plans and conduct detailed RF spot checks, perfect for indoor coverage analysis and distributed antenna system (DAS) deployment planning.
Professional Reporting
Generation of detailed, professional reports from collected spot check data, ready to share with clients or team members in multiple formats (PDF, CSV, and native app format).
Technical Implementation
- Cross-platform development using Flutter for both iOS and Android compatibility
- Robust offline functionality using SQLite for local data storage and synchronization
- AES-256 encryption for secure storage of sensitive device credentials
- Tiered access model with freemium and subscription options using in-app purchases
- Low-bandwidth API design for operation in poor connectivity conditions
